Halloween
Owl cookies
Mix together
and set aside:
3 Tablespoon
cocoa
1 Tablespoon
oil
1/4 tsp.
salt
Cookie dough:
Mix together
and cream:
3/4 cup
butter
1 cup brown
sugar
1 egg
1 tsp.
vanilla
Add to cream
mixture:
2 1/2 cup
flour
2 tsp. baking
powder
1/2 tsp.
salt
Divide the dough into thirds.
Add 1/3 of
the dough to the cocoa and oil mixture.
Mix well. Roll chocolate dough
into 2 logs, 3/4 inch thick.
Roll the two
white dough out large enough to wrap around chocolate log and chill.
Slice 1/4
inch thick. Place 2 slices side by side
(moisten to stick). Place M&M for
eyes. (Or you can place the M&M as they come out of the oven. Pinch
up ears like ruffs. Bake at 350 degrees
for 8-10 minutes. Put candy corn or
almonds for beak just as they come out of the oven
